The crystal clear waters of Bull Shoals Lake and the breathtaking views on the world famous White River make this an ideal spot in the Ozark mountains.
The lake covers approximately 45,000 acres and 1100 miles of shoreline. There is largemouth and smallmouth bass, white and stripped bass, walleye and catfish. If your taste runs to panfish we have crappie, bluegill and sun perch. There are also water sports - ski and pontoon boats, jet skis, and scuba diving gear and instruction. Below the dam is the famed White River know everywhere for some of the best rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout fishing in the United States.Whether it is fly fishing, guided float trips, or bank fishing, the experience will be unique and nearly always a productive one.
In Bull Shoals you can visit area craft and antique shops, tour the caverns or play minature golf at the Mountain Village 1890, or tour the local muesum. Spectacular views of the area can be seen at the Top of The Ozark Tower. A new James A.Gaston Visitors Center was recently opened offering intrepretive exhibits, Johnboat Theater, observation tower, classrooms, and a gift shop. In addition there is a bowling alley, 18 hole golf course, and the very best restaurants. A short distance away there are nature trails, horseback riding, movies, go-cart track, and more.
World famous Branson Missouri is approximately 75 miles away with its live musical entertainment, Shepard of the Hills play, and Silver Dollar City. You can visit the Norfolk Fish Hatchery, Ozark Folk Center, Blanchard Caverns, or the Great Pamsion play in Eureka Springs including shopping, live country music, and comedy shows.
